theinvisibleman

title: the invisible man
author: h.g. wells
progress: 115/160 pages
status: i have to admit, that i am loving this. i am so surprised about how much. i love the story, which is so cool considering when this book was written. the writing is good and i like the characters. can’t wait to get to the end!

lastnightisangtothemonster

wakinggods

theassassinsblade.jpg

title: the assassin’s blade
author: sarah j. maas
rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
thoughts: i finally finished the novellas from the “throne of glass” series. all in all i really liked them. i loved to learn about celaena’s morals and some background of her. about some things i was surprised, some were predictable and theories formed. we’ll see what the other books will tell.

missperegrine

title: miss peregrine’s home for peculiar children
author: ransom riggs
rating: ⭐⭐⭐
thoughts: i made it through this book – finally. it was an ok read for me, but i wasn’t blown away. sometimes i was on edge, sometimes some things didn’t make sense at all. but it was enjoyable and i will continue with the series.

sleepinggiants

title: sleeping giants
author: sylvain neuvel
rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
thoughts: i got the audiobook for “sleeping giants” earlier than expected from the library, but it came at the right time and i flew through it. i enjoyed the full cast immensly and it was so much fun to listen to it. the only thing i didn’t like that much was the political part in the end, which is why i can’t give it five stars. but all in all it was great.

voyager

title: voyager
author: diana gabaldon
rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
thoughts: i really liked the audiobook for “voyager”. it was so much better than “dragonfly in amber”. the story had substance, i loved the development and i was on edge a couple of times. i also cried. it’s not as good as “outlander” but i had fun listening to it.

stalkingjacktheripper

title: stalking jack the ripper
author: kerri maniscalco
edition: paperback
thoughts: the second book i am planning to take with me is this one. why? because i SO want to read it!! i can’t wait. i know i said, that i want to finish my current series and i am basically starting new ones all the time. but oh well, what can you do? 😀

  1. I hope you love Stalking Jack the Ripper!!! I love it so much!!!

Also, I was thinking of starting with The War of Worlds of something like that by Wells, or maybe The Time Machine, but I think I have The Invisible Man on my kindle, and now you’ve hyped me to read it!!

  2. I read another of Saenz’s books (Aristotle and Dante) and enjoyed it. He seems to build tension well so I hope you enjoy his book. I felt a similar way about Miss Peregrine. I wasn’t as blow away as I thought I would be. Happy reading and thanks for participating in WWW Wednesday!
