WWW wednesday #2 in 2018

happy wednesday my lovely friends! ❤ i hope you are all doing great and are healthy! how is your reading going? i haven’t finished that many books, but i am still happy with my reading. i am taking it slow and enjoying my books, which are a lot currently haha. so, let’s get to my update! 🙂

www wednesday is hosted by sam on Taking on a World of Words. everyone can participate in answering the three questions below and posting a link on sams website or just answer the questions on her post, if you do not have a blog.

the three questions are:

1.) What are you currently reading?
2.) What did you recently finish reading?
3.) What do you think you’ll read next?

title: miss peregrine’s home for peculiar children
author: ransom riggs
progress: 70/382 pages
status: i am surprised how easy and fast this book is to read. i pretty much don’t know anything about this series, but i liked the first chapters and i am curious to find out, what’s going to happen.

title: the inexplicable logic of my life
author: benjamin alire sáenz
progress: 50%
status: after reading “aristotle and dante discover the secrets of the universe” i wanted to read more of this author so i got a hold on this book. i was surprised that i got it a month earlier but i already started it and i like it. the writing is the same and beautiful. the story is pretty intense and i have a lot of feelings reading this. hope to finish it on the weekend.

title: hard times
author: charles dickens
progress: 292/356 pages
status: well, i am pretty much reading this, because i made it that far. unfortunately the writing is the only thing i like about this book. i don’t care for the characters and the story at all, and i know, that i will give this a low rating, because i didn’t enjoy it.

title: voyager
author: diana gabaldon
progress: 39%
status: the audiobook for “voyager” is really good. i am having an amazing time listening to this and i enjoy it way more than “dragonfly in amber”. i even cried during one scene while walking the streets. i love when that happens. 🙂

title: more than this
patrick ness
rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

thoughts: i still can’t figure out my thoughts for that one. it was a very, very interesting read and i did not expect this story at all. honestly, i did not know anything about this book and i was so surprised because the beginning had me hooked right from the start. it was so intense. then the story went a different way and i was again surprised. then the ending which left me speachless, because i didn’t know what is going on. i pretty much wrote “WTF” every second page into this book. 😀

title: the assassin’s blade
author: sarah j. maas
edition: hardback
thoughts: it’s time to continue with the series. this will definitely be one of the next books, i will pick up and i am really excited! 🙂

what are your three www? let me know in the comments! 🙂

  1. I read “miss peregrine’s home for peculiar children” quite while ago and liked it but when I watched the movie last year I noticed that I didn’t remember much of the book anymore. Definitely want to hear your thoughts once you’re done 🙂

  2. I’m so glad you’re enjoying Voyager. I love that book. 🙂 I haven’t tried the audio though and still need to read many of the books you have here! ❤ Enjoy the rest of your week, Alex. 😉

  3. Yaaaaay, Assassin’s Blade! I still need to write up a review but I read that one a few weeks ago as my introduction to the TOG series and I really enjoyed it.

Right now, I’m reading a few things but mainly focusing on Reign of the Fallen, I most recently finished a horror novella ARC called The Atrocities, and the next book I pick up will probably be City of Bones!
