What are you currently reading?

title: heir of fire
author: sarah j. maas
progress: 167/565 pages
status: weeeell, i am a little disappointed. in the first 100 pages nothing special happened and i missed the feeling of “throne of glass” and “crown of midnight”. last night i read 50 more pages and it’s slowly getting exciting. but nothing i really hoped for. we’ll see, there is still some pages to go.

progress: 107/531 pages
status: i am really, really enjoying this so far. i love oliver and the writing is so good. i really get lost to hear about oliver’s story. it’s easy to read and i am so happy, i picked this up.

 

Dragonfly in Amber - Diana Gabaldon

status: sooo, i didn’t plan on this to happen, but i am really determined to finish this book this time. i go it with my audioble credit and listening to it as an audiobook. i hope i will enjoy it more than at the beginning of the year. currently i am still relistening to the part i have already read but i acutally enjoy it so far. 🙂

thoughts: i picked this up, because i needed a new audiobook and it was available at my library. i have seen the movie many times by now, because let’s be honest, i love dylan o’brien. 😀 but the book was very different. there were so many things changed in the movie adaptation, i was surprised. all in all it was an ok book for me, but nothing special.

thoughts: this was a cute christmas book set in one of the best cities on earth. my review will be up this friday 🙂

thoughts: this was my second neil gaiman book. and i have to say, it was weird. but good weird. and a lot of WTF moments. but it was also weird. hmm…

thoughts: this came as a traveling book to me and i want to read it this month so it can travel to the next one.

thoughts: this also came as a traveling book to me and i want to read it in december, so i can cross of another book series i fully read in 2017. yay!

  1. I remember borrowing that Neil Gaiman book from the library years ago and being soooo confused by it. I don’t think I ever finished it. I really would like to try it again some time, but I’ve read bits of his writing here and there over the years and I’m just not sure if it’s for me!

  2. Absolutely loved An Ocean at the End of the Lane, especially because of how weird it was! And completely agree on Heir of Fire – didn’t care much for it at all and wished it all stopped at Crown of Midnight 😦
    I’m hoping to read Kiss Me In New York soon!

  3. Ooh, I’m curious about your review on Kiss me in NY!
    Also, have to say that Heir of Fire only REALLY picks up in the second part of the first part – whoop that makes complete sense, Kathy. And you’ll fly through those last chapters! Probably? If you’re like me? Idk. I did?
