WWW wednesday #16

lovely bookoholics ❤ how is your reading going? do you have a great time? are you in a slump? let us talk in the comments. i want to know how you are! 🙂

www wednesday is hosted by sam on Taking on a World of Words. everyone can participate in answering the three questions below and posting a link on sams website or just answer the questions on her post, if you do not have a blog.

the three questions are:

1.) What are you currently reading?
2.) What did you recently finish reading?
3.) What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

just for your information: i put down “war & peace” by leo tolstoy. i wasn’t having fun reading it anymore. it felt like a chore and i was forcing myself to it, so i put it down for now. the same goes for “nyxia” by scott reintgen. i am still on page 237. i don’t have much left, but somehow i can’t convince myself to pick it up and finish it…

uncommon tyoe

title: uncommon type: some stories
author: tom hanks
progress: 64%
status: i love this audiobook so much. tom hanks is narrating himself and even though i am not a big fan of short stories, i just love listening to tom hanks voice. so far there were some stories, that gave me goosebumps, that made me laugh and also cry. there’s something for everybody and i love this! 🙂

title: emma
author: jane austen
page: 40
status: after i decided to put down “war & peace” i picked up my last austen novel. i wanted to read all her books this year and this one is the last. i divided the chapters and want to finish it in november. i didn’t make it through yesterdays chapters, because i was exhausted after i came home, but i am hopeful, that i will read this in november.

title: artemis
author: andy weir
page: 32
status: on saturday i went book shopping with my best book buddy and yaaaay, i picked up “artemis” by andy weir. i was so surprised to see it already on the shelves. i canceled by preorder and got it. i started on sunday evening, but busy life kept me from reading. after the first chapter i can say, that this could be good! 😀

What did you recently finish reading?

title: watching glass shatter
james j. cudney from this is my truth now
rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
easy five star read. i loved this book completely. i got lost. the writing is perfect, the characters are amazing, the story is gripping. there is nothing bad that i have to say about this book! my review will be up soon. i am so proud of jay for this debut novel! 🙂 ❤

title: don’t let go
author: harlan coben
rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
thoughts: i love harlan coben’s thrillers. they are easy to get through. you are guessing throughout the whole book. there are twists and turns and you want to know what’s happening. i really enjoyed this story, although it’s not my favorite by him. but i will read any thriller by him, because i love his writing.

What do you think you’ll read next?

honestly, i have absolutely no idea! this will be a surprise for you and me! 😀

  1. I might have to look for the Tom Hanks book…I love him. He’s such a great actor. I think he has a great voice too, so listening to an audiobook read by him would be great!
Sad to hear about War and Peace, but definitely don’t want it to be a chore!!! You’ll get it done at some point!

  2. I can’t read several books at the same time. I don’t know how you are doing it. I’m a serial reader LOL I also love that James gathers so many great reviews that’s incredible! I finished Corrode by Ell Field and before it was an ARC Rules of Rain by Leah Scheier (fantastic).
