TBR book tag

seems, i can’t stop doing these tag posts 😀
as long as i haven’t finished a book of my current reads, i will be posting tag posts, so get used to that hahaha 😀

1.) how do you keep track of your TBR pile?

classicsi use goodreads to scan all my books and have them marked as tbr books. but sometimes i forget it, so it is possible, that i do not have listed all books there. i also used my bookjournal for that but after some book buying outta control i kind of stopped it *facepalm*.
the best way for me are my bookshelves. i have “read”-bookshelves and “unread-bookshelves”. that way i know my tbr books and they stare at me.

2.) is your TBR mostly print or ebook

mostly print. i do not have that many ebooks on my kindle. i get those when i am in the mood for an ebook.

3.) how do you determine which book from your TBR to read next?

IMG_8487i am a total mood reader. i have a huge bookshelf in the living room, where all my tbr books are. i also have a little bookshelf in my bedroom, where all the books are, that i am interested in right this moment. i pick books from there. if my mood changes or i am interested in other books, i switch them out.

4.) a book that’s been on your TBR list the longest

probably all of my crime, thriller and horror books. i went through a huge phase many years ago and i own books by stephen king, henning mankell or karin slaugther. they all need to be read. someday. somehow. i know i will do it. 😀

5.) a book you recently added to your TBR

i bought two of the vintage classic russians series. i loooooove these editions and i own four of them now. i want to start a project, reading “war & peace” by leo tolstoy in one year. so it will be a chapter a day. after that i want to tackle “anna karenina”, “the master & margarita” and “crime and punishment”. let’s do this! 😀

6.) a book in your TBR strictly because of its beautiful cover

actually, i do not buy a book because of its cover. or not just because of its cover. of course my eyes go to the nice cover and then i am hooked. but i always read what the book is about. and i only buy it, if i am intrigued by the story.

7.) a book on your TBR that you never plan on reading

i plan to read all my books. if i will every get to it, is another question 😀

8.) a book on your TBR that basically everyone’s read but you

definitely “harry potter”. 😀 i feel like the whole world has read these books. i still have to. and i will. at some point. i am scared, that i won’t like them but i know that it is time to finally do this! *facepalm*

9.) a book on your TBR that everyone recommends to you

“harry potter”? 😀 but i also get “a court of thornes and roses” by sarah j. maas a lot 😉

10.) a book on your TBR that you’re dying to read

IMG_8784“crooked kingdom” by leigh bardugo. i neeeeeeeed to know what will happen to my man kaz brekker. ❤ love this guy. need more of him in my life 😀

11.) how many books are on your TBR shelf?

goodreads tells me, that there are 188 books, but i know that there are more. probably around 200.

Uuuuuund ich möchte nicht so ‘ne nervige Book Police sein, aber was ich bisher über ACOTAR gehört habe, war nicht unbedingt positiv, vor allem im Bereich “good representation of LGBT+ people”. Aber jeder sollte das natürlich selbst einschätzen. 🙂

    1. da bist nicht nur du gespannt. 😀
