reading habits tag

i decided that i want to do “tags” on this blog. most booktubers do tag tuesday, where they answer questions based on a tag. i want to start my tag series with the “reading habits tag”. so let’s do this 😀

1. Do you have a certain place at home for reading?

IMG_2674i am a bed reader, i always was. i love to curl up in my bed, my cats next to me and make myself comfortable. i also enjoy reading on my couch, because it is comfy and has an extra corner, where you can take the perfect position for reading. but my bed will always be my favorite place!

2. Bookmark or random piece of paper?

IMG_1631oh, me and bookmarks. i love bookmarks, i have a lot of them. but i kind of loose them too. i am pretty sure, that a lot of read books on my shelf still have the bookmark inside. *facepalm* but if there is no bookmark near me, i put inside, what i can get.

3. Can you just stop reading or do you have to stop after a chapter/ a certain amount of pages?

i can just stop reading. i prefer ending after a chapter, but it’s no problem for me to just stop.

4. Do you eat or drink while reading?

14DFDF4B-7E43-4B5B-BCF0-664F70299F0Fi always drink while reading. coffee in the morning, tea in the evening and other stuff in between. eating not so much. maybe snacking a bit, but never eating. i prefer watching booktube videos while eating 😀

5. Multitasking: Music or TV while reading?

always music! i can’t read without music. i hate reading when it’s quiet. i feel weird, when i am all by myself and there are no sounds. so weird.

6. One book at a time or several at once?

IMG_8415several at once. usually i have one or two books i read during the months. like 2 chapters or one chapter each day, depends on the chapter length or the length of the book. then i always have an audiobook, which i listen to when i am on my way to work or have to shop or clean. then i usually have an ebook on my kindle, because i love reading in the dark before i go to bed. and last but not least, there is always my “main” book, that i read most of during the day.

7. Reading at home or everywhere?

IMG_8595i love reading at home, but i am also a sunobsessed person, so in the summer i am in the park most of the time and i love to read there. also my hammock in the garden is the perfect place for reading, when it’s too hot outside and i want to be in the shadows.

8. Reading out lout or silently in your head?

definitely silently in my head. i think i’ve never read out loud before.

9. Do you read ahead or even skip pages?

i used to do that, because i usually don’t mind spoilers and also i am a very very very impatient person 😀 i need to know stuff right away! but i stopped doing that, because i learned, that not knowing is way more fun!

10. Breaking the spine or keeping it like new?

i try to keep the books like new, but if it’s not possible, i have no problem with breaking the spine. i prefer floppy paperbacks, because there will never be a broken spine aaaaand they are the best books to read!

11. Do you write in your books?

IMG_7450that depends. yes i have sticky notes, that are color coded. i have markers, that have the same colors as the sticky notes, where i mark the paragraph to see, what i stickyd there 😀 and i also write in my books. i have no problem in doing that. afterwards it’s always fun to see, which book gave me all the emotions. but i also have books where i mark nothing. these are usually quick reads, that are for entertainment and where i don’t have to think. they are fast and easy for me to get through and then i do not invest a lot of time for writing in them.

so guys, this was my first tag, i hope you liked it. feel free to participate and do the tag too! 🙂
